Glove Box Stories: Project Vector

Foxtrot Papa

Jaguar Land Rover is a company that knows how to keep a tradition alive, while not turning a blind eye to innovation. Yesterday’s exciting unveiling of the Project Vector concept vehicle is a sign that this isn’t getting any less true. The vehicle, designed as part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Destination Zero mission, addresses the trends shaping modern societies. It features a fully flexible interior configuration, adaptable to private, commercial or shared uses. For a car that’s just 4 metres long, it also offers unparalleled levels of load space. This is just the surface, though: Project Vector is fully autonomous, electric and completely integrated with the smart urban infrastructures of tomorrow. Developed at the National Automotive Innovation Centre, collaborations with academia and external partners have allowed it to claim a minuscule footprint. It promises zero emissions, zero accidents and zero congestion. We’ll take this over the much-hyped flying cars of tomorrow, any day.
